It’s official: We are ONE month away from Michigan’s Primary Election Day.

Primary Election Day is important for two main reasons:

1. The strongest Democratic candidates will become the official nominees to take on the GOP. For myself and other Democrats, this is when we know the future of our campaigns. If we want to make sure we have the best chance at preventing Republicans from flipping Michigan red, we need to ensure we’re electing the most qualified candidates.

2. We find out who our Republican opponents are. It’s pretty much guaranteed that the Republican establishment will back whichever GOP candidate wins. Once it becomes official, you can bet right-wing money will overwhelm Michigan battleground races. We must be prepared for attacks.
