Scammers Are Still at Work
Beware of unusual emails asking for assistance with a task or gifts cards for a cause. These emails may come from a familiar name, such as a pastor, bishop or other church leader, but are often a scammer that is matching a trusted name to a targeted victim. Be sure any email or phone call you are responding to is from the person you know, and not a third-party attempting theft. Check the address it was sent from to be sure it matches the email address of the person it claims to be.
