I’m reminded every time I walk by Ciccarone Park why I got into public service in the first place - the elderly lady relaxing after a long day, playful kids running around, a couple watching the sunset as their dog embarks on a nearby adventure.
The people who pass through that park each and every day aren't asking for much. They want equity and fairness in our society, and they want public servants that actually solve problems.
In my story, I see the story of every kid in the Bronx right now. They have the same potential I did growing up, but often not the same luck or opportunity. They need a fighter willing to stand up and shape a better future for them - one where something is finally done about affordable housing, healthcare access, equality, college affordability, and so much more.
We’re all in this together, John. I’m proud to be standing alongside people like you in the fight to secure a better future.
Thank you and stay safe.
