Welcome back to E-PAC’s weekly newsletter, we hope you had a wonderful 4th of July! | 2024 E-PAC Slate Reacts to Presidential Debate | In case you missed it, the first Presidential Debate was a historic victory for President Trump and an absolute failure for Joe Biden and his hopes of re-election. See what the Republican women running across the nation had to say about the showdown below – | Chairwoman Elise Stefanik stated – | “"This is the greatest presidential debate win in history. President Donald J. Trump overwhelmingly won tonight’s debate from the economy and the border to foreign policy and the sanctity of life, President Trump laid out a vision to Save America. Joe Biden’s abysmal performance proved what the American people already know: that Joe Biden is mentally and physically unfit to serve as President of the United States. | “President Trump's America First agenda will save our country from the crises created by Joe Biden's failed leadership. President Trump will crush Bidenflation, secure our Southern and Northern Borders, bring back American energy dominance, restore law and order, end Biden's unconstitutional weaponization of our federal government, and save our democracy. This election is the most important election in our nation's history and the American people know we must elect President Donald J. Trump.” | Nancy Dahlstrom (AK-AL ) — | “Last week's presidential debate showed all Americans what Alaskans already knew: We need Donald Trump back in the White House. I'm proud to have his support!” | “President Trump took on both Joe Biden AND the liberal CNN moderators tonight & HE WON! Joe Biden is flat out unfit for office- but the liberal media is already in overdrive trying to spin this as a win for Democrats. Soon, we will see a flurry of fake news headlines claiming "Joe Biden won," and voters are fleeing the MAGA movement in droves. Don't let them off easy! Don't let them take this win from us! Stand with President Trump & defend the America First movement.” | Caroleene Dobson (AL-02) — | “Tonight, President Trump dismantled Biden's disastrous policies and reminded the American people what economic strength and safety look like. It’s a simple case of strength versus weakness, and Republicans have the plan to restore our country.” | “Joe Biden is not remotely fit to be President. Does Gabe Vasquez believe Joe Biden should be his party’s nominee and the President for the next four years?” | Laurie Buckhout (NC-01) — | “Biden isn’t the only one who felt sick on Thursday – millions of Americans are sick of Biden’s failed policies that are destroying our country. | Alison Esposito (NY-18) — | “Tonight President Trump proved what we all knew, he will be the next President.” . | GOP Women Take Action to Punish Antisemitic Universities | Chairwoman Elise Stefanik (NY-21) and Representative Nicole Malliotakis (NY-11) introduced the University Accountability Act to impose penalties on higher education institutions that fail to protect Jewish students from antisemitic hate, violating their civil rights. | Chairwoman Elise Stefanik stated – | “I will continue to lead the efforts ridding our higher education institutions of antisemitism. With this new legislation, the University Accountability Act, we will impose penalties on universities who violate the civil rights of their own students including by failing to protect Jewish students from antisemitic hate. Hardworking taxpayers have no interest in funding institutions that fail to protect their students from antisemitic rhetoric and behavior and this bill puts their tax-exempt status on the chopping block.” | Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis – | "Universities have a responsibility to protect their students from violence and discrimination and instead we're seeing a disturbing increase in antisemitic attacks and rhetoric on college campuses. If these schools are receiving generous tax benefits from the federal government at the expense of American taxpayers, they should be doing more than simply giving a slap on the wrist to perpetrators of hate. Our legislation seeks to hold these institutions accountable with lofty financial punishments that would encourage them to investigate and crack down on instances of antisemitism and help foster a safer a safer academic environment for all students, regardless of their gender, race or religion." | Read more about the legislation here. | SCOTUS Decision Represents Major Victory for President Trump | On Monday, the Supreme Court upheld President Trump’s right to immunity for official acts. President Trump has repeatedly been subject to the weaponization of the Biden Justice Department and is continuously holding them at bay as the constitution prevails. This most recent decision by the Supreme Court in Trump v. United States has prompted Far Left New York Judge Merchan to move back President Trump’s sentencing following his sham trial by corrupt NY District Attorney Alvin Bragg. | Chairwoman Stefanik stated – | “Today’s Supreme Court decision is a historic victory for President Donald Trump, the Constitution, the rule of law, and the American people. The President of the United States must have immunity, like Members of Congress and federal judges, which is necessary for any presidency to function properly. I look forward to continuing to work with President Trump to ensure his victory and Save America.” | Kari Lake (U.S. Senate Candidate - AZ) – | This Supreme Court ruling on presidential immunity was obviously fantastic for Trump, but it's so much bigger [than] that. | This Supreme Court ruling on presidential immunity was obviously fantastic for Trump, but it's so much bigger [than] that. | This was an unequivocal defense of the separation of powers. | GOP Women Celebrate the 4th of July | Republican women celebrated our nation’s independence this week with their communities across the country. | Chairwoman Elise Stefanik stated – | “On America’s Independence Day, join me in celebrating our greatest treasure as Americans: our freedom. | “Let us reflect on the countless lives sacrificed in the pursuit of this freedom, from the American Revolutionary War battles that took place in Upstate New York and the North Country to the brave men and women stationed at Fort Drum today, and vow never to take such a gift for granted. It is our duty now to continue trusting in our Declaration of Independence and pledge to continue building a nation that reflects its promises of Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. | “Let us be courageous like our Founding Fathers and remember that our nation has persevered through the worst of times. We must fearlessly continue to fight for America’s prosperity and safeguard the American Dream for generations to come. | “God Bless you, God Bless our brave service members at home and abroad, and God Bless the United States of America.” | On Thursday, Chairwoman Elise Stefanik joined many friends and supporters in Ticonderoga in NY-21, to celebrate the anniversary of our nation’s independence at the ‘Best 4th in the North’ parade!
