Major win for Wisconsin voters
* The Wisconsin Supreme Court reinstated ([link removed]) the use of ballot drop boxes ahead of the 2024 election, overturning a 2022 decision from the court’s then-conservative majority that banned the popular voting method.
* Although drop boxes were widely utilized in Wisconsin during the 2020 election, they became contentious ([link removed]) in the post-election period as a result of efforts ([link removed]) by former President Donald Trump and other candidates to sow doubt in election results and throw out lawfully cast absentee votes.

How the U.S. Supreme Court has bolstered Project 2025
* Project 2025 seeks to reshape American government, law and society for a generation. Trump and his followers' willingness to defy the law, paired with the Supreme Court's aide, will help achieve that goal, Marc explains in a new piece ([link removed]) .

* “In two of its final decisions of the term, the Court provided Project 2025 adherents’ victories that will enable a future president and their administration to be more ruthless and less concerned with breaking the law,” Marc wrote.
* In a new Truth Social post ([link removed]) , Trump said “I know nothing about Project 2025. I have no idea who is behind it. I disagree with some of the things they’re saying and some of the things they’re saying are absolutely ridiculous and abysmal. Anything they do, I wish them luck, but I have nothing to do with them.”

New Defending Democracy podcast episode out now
* Though New York is a blue state, its voting laws aren't as progressive as people may think. In a new episode of Defending Democracy, state Sen. Zellnor Myrie (D) joins Marc to discuss the importance of improving ballot access in both red and blue states.
* “Democracy is not a spectator sport. It is a full-contact sport. It requires us to engage,” Myrie said.
* Watch it on YouTube ([link removed]) and listen ([link removed]) wherever you get your podcasts.
