Dear Friend, When my newsletter was sent today at 1:30 PM CT, the Department of Homeland Security had notified our office that a major disaster declaration was issued for Buena Vista, Cherokee, and Woodbury Counties. We have since been notified that Woodbury County was not included in the declaration but O’Brien County was included. A corrected statement from me is below: “Today, I received a call from the Department of Homeland Security that a major disaster declaration — which I requested alongside Governor Reynolds — was approved for Buena Vista, Cherokee, and O’Brien counties. Families, farmers, and businesses impacted by severe flooding will now have access to the disaster relief, resources, and assistance that they need to recover and rebuild. I will continue to press the administration to deliver more aid to more communities affected by these devastating floods.” We are government together, and I am here to serve you. Your thoughts, concerns, and comments are very important to me. Always feel free to call (202) 225-4426 or visit my website at feenstra.house.gov. Sincerely, Rep.
