John,
ICYMI–The UVA's Center for Politics has recently changed its forecast for Michigan in the presidential race, moving it from a Dem-Leaning State to a complete Toss-Up. These ratings are based on predictions surrounding not only preference but turnout too. That means that races like mine just got WAY more competitive.
The GOOD NEWS: I'm running a grassroots campaign here on the ground that can help turn the tide for not only MY race but the Senate and the Presidency too. My district is being called one of the most geographically important regions in the country.
We know West Michigan will be at the heart of the election this November – in less than 125 days – for the Presidency, the U.S. Senate seat, control of the U.S. Congress, and so much more. I was out this weekend at parades across the district and what I saw was encouraging–people fired up about OUR race. I’m so proud of the leadership I’ve brought to this district, and I know I have what it takes to get people out and voting this November, but I need your help to reach them.
I know we just finished our quarter, but we only have 83 days until ballots drop in Michigan, and we have to be READY NOW. We've set a $25,000 goal for this weekend to help us build up our grassroots efforts to reach EVERY voter. We don't want to look back on November 6 and realize we could have done more.
