Irving, TX - On Monday, I visited Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. We took a tour of the facilities and chatted about their operations in North Texas.

After, I headed to our district office where I held a roundtable with veteran organizations and advocates to discuss the most pressing issues facing North Texas veterans and how we can better assist their efforts on a state and federal level.

Later, I met with Joey Evans and Paul Treangen from TNW Corporation. We discussed the economic impacts and infrastructure needs of shortline railroads in Texas as well as future projects and innovations.

That evening, I joined the Korea International Trade Association for the opening of their Dallas office! Their new operations will help Korean businesses enter the Texas market and foster collaboration with local enterprises.

Tuesday morning I met with New York Life at our district office to discuss the impact life insurance has on families and making sure it's taxed appropriately to work better for all Americans.

I also chatted with Tyler Radbourne, Chairman of the Transformative Energy Coalition, to discuss sustainable waste management for oil and gas in Texas and safeguarding our energy independence.

Later, I had a great conversation with RESULTS Tarrant County about child nutrition and how we can use the tax code to ensure children and families remain stably housed and don't go hungry.

I headed to Texas Health Orthopedic Surgery Center in Fort Worth to see the exceptional care they’re providing their patients. We also discussed the Outpatient Surgery Quality and Access Act, which I cosponsored, and the Protecting Healthcare Employee Privacy Act that I introduced.

I finished out the day touring Independent Electrical Contractors Dallas in Irving. IEC is the nation's premier trade association representing America's independent electrical and systems contractors. We discussed their work in the industry and how they promote free enterprise, open competition, and economic opportunity for all.

On Wednesday, I had a great time at Northeast Tarrant Chamber's 4th of July celebration. I was glad to see Mayor Curtis Bergthold, Councilman G.W. Estep, and Chief Young from Richland Hills as well as congratulate the corn dog eating champion who took down 11 dogs in 7 minutes!

Later, I joined Mayor Mizani and Benson Chacko, President of Methodist Hospital Southlake, at Keller Lights for another great 4th of July celebration!

Thursday was Independence Day and as always, the Park Cities 4th of July Parade brought out patriotic, America loving families. So glad I had the chance to see everyone!

This morning, I introduced a bill to ensure programs designated to support U.S. companies aren't being abused by bad actors who falsely claim their products are American made. You can read more about it in my Work of the Week section!
