If you've opened a newspaper or turned on cable news
recently, then you've probably noticed that we're in the
middle of an election year.

And as we've seen over the past few elections, Republicans
up and down the ballot are basing their campaigns on this
idea that America is worse off than it's ever been -- as if
the past 75 months of private-sector job growth, our
unemployment rate dropping from 10 to under 5 percent, and
20 million Americans gaining access to affordable health
care never happened.

That's the story they tell -- even though when you look at
the facts, what they're saying just doesn't hold any water.

But if we don't do everything we can to elect Democrats
here in Washington, then Republicans will
take our country in a different direction -- one that
we can't predict, but that we know the American people
cannot afford. That's why I'm asking for your help:

that I'll do whatever it takes to keep the White House and
elect as many Democrats to Congress as possible.
