New solicitations

DES starts solicitation to replace fresh dairy contract

DES is starting solicitation 02524 for fresh dairy to replace contract 02016 [ [link removed] ], which expires June 30, 2025. This solicitation is for fresh dairy products, including milk, cheese, cottage cheese, yogurt, and buttermilk.

We are looking for purchasers and subject-matter experts to help us develop this contract.

New statewide contracts

New statewide contract available for raised pavement markers

DES has a new statewide contract 27923 for raised pavement markers and related products. This contract succeeds contract 06815 [ [link removed] ], which expired June 30.

This contract features two OMWBE-certified contractors.

New statewide contract available for water treatment products

Effective July 1, DES has a new statewide contract 25623 for water treatment products. This contract provides products for filtering and chemically treating reclaimed water and wastewater.

This contract features one Washington small business.

Contract changes

Insurance requirements revised on gases & oxygen contract

DES revised the insurance requirements for contract 23823 for medical, specialty, and industrial gases, and portable oxygen units to all contractors.

DES modifies ADA-compliant vehicles contract

DES signed a Cooperative Purchasing Agreement (CPA) [ [link removed] ] with the state of Alaska for contract 07621 for ADA-compliant vans, minivans, and specialty vehicles. The agreement allows the state of Alaska to use the contract.

DES revised the contract to:


* Add Alaska to the eligible purchasers section
* Change the model/product addition and deletion section
* Add a delivery fee for the state of Alaska section

New changes to automatic external defibrillators contract

DES signed a participating addendum with Avive Solutions, Inc. to initiate a new cooperative agreement for contract 17522, automatic external defibrillators (AEDs).

This agreement adds a new contractor and replaces the current agreement for contract 00917 [ [link removed] ], which expires on Aug. 4.

The agreement allows manufacturers to partner with approved small local dealers to distribute AEDs, accessories, and support services.

DES researches options for new firefighting equipment contract?

DES is researching options for a new statewide contract for firefighting equipment, personal protective equipment (PPE), rescue tools, and related supplies and accessories.

DES created a survey to better understand customers' needs and the potential demand. Please complete the survey [ [link removed] ] by July 12 to express your agency?s interest in firefighting equipment.
