Public Citizen has been calling for term limits for Supreme Court justices.

But we need Congress to pass the necessary legislation. (And yes, it can be done in a way that does not violate the Constitution or require a constitutional amendment.)

The United States is the world’s only major constitutional democracy that allows lifetime tenure for judges on its highest court. We call on you to pass legislation without delay that will take the commonsense step of instituting term limits for Supreme Court justices.
