Living with Parkinson’s can be stressful – dealing with fluctuations in motor symptoms myriad medications to manage, sleep problems, digestive issues…the list goes on and on. Plus, the chemical changes happening in the brain can actually cause Parkinson’s symptoms such as stress and anxiety, too. Managing stress is more easily said than done, so what is one to do?
Join our webinar with keynote speaker Dr. Rick Helmich - we will explore if there is a link between stress and the onset of Parkinson’s, how stress can impact individuals living with Parkinson’s and their care partners, current therapies and non-therapeutic approaches to stress management, and current research. Kim Mortson will also join us to share how stress impacts her life with Parkinson’s, and techniques she uses to manage those symptoms.
