As a single working mom in Congress, I don’t take the easy way out. I don’t take a dime from corporate PACs, and I never have.
But right now, so many elected officials take that kind of money because it’s easier than grassroots fundraising. Grassroots fundraising typically dips in the summertime — and I get it, folks want to save any extra dollars for summer time fun!
In order to help elect a new wave of leaders who will carry on my fight to clean up corruption in Washington, we need to keep our fundraising strong.
