Despite some of Hollywood’s depictions, it’s very rare for someone to get swept out of a perfect life, into a situation of sex trafficking. We’ve provided care to hundreds of youth, and we’ve seen that sex trafficking isn’t usually the first thing to go wrong for them. Other forms of abuse and hardship make kids vulnerable to traffickers. Take a look at the numbers below from our Survivor Care Program:

It’s tough to read this though, while thinking of the children we work with who have so much stacked against them, have experienced such injustice, and have a lot to overcome. But they ARE overcoming, day by day. We’re so proud of them!
