Team,

I hope you had a safe and happy Independence Day with family and loved ones.

Yesterday, we remembered and celebrated the courage of our Founding Fathers, who risked life and treasure to establish a free nation. And we honored the soldiers who’ve sacrificed to keep our nation free ever since.

For me, Independence Day is a reminder that my own story is only possible in the United States of America.

I wrote a quick op-ed about my story, and what’s at stake for our country in November.

When you have a second, I hope you’ll read it here.

Have a great weekend!

I’m a lawman and a soldier, not a politician.

As Georgia’s Insurance Commissioner, I’m standing up to the big corporations, rooting out corruption, and putting families first.

As the first Hispanic elected statewide in our history, I'm working to build bridges with Latino voters before Election Day.

This work matters, and it’s critical we have the means to get the word out. I need you on the frontlines with me.

If you’re able, I hope you’ll donate $10, $5, or even just $2 now. Every single donation counts.
