The exit poll has just come out.

There is still a long way to go tonight as votes are counted.

But I wanted to say: I am so proud of our party.






It looks like this will be our best result for a generation.

It looks like we have gained more seats than in any General Election in the
last 100 years.

We look set to be the third party again in Westminster. This will make a huge
difference to our ability to change things for the better.

I want to say a personal, huge thank you to everyone who has worked so hard
on campaigns in every single seat, whether you won or didn’t quite make it this
time.

This is your success.
