Happy Independence Day!

Nearly 250 years ago, our Founding Fathers declared independence, the first step in the United States’ journey to becoming the greatest country in the world. Because of their vision and belief in the unalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, we became and remain a beacon of hope and freedom throughout the world.

It is important to remember our freedoms are not free, and the ability to celebrate our independence year after year is because of the brave men and women who protect us at home and abroad. We must never forget those who have made the ultimate sacrifice to protect our country, allowing us to maintain our rights and pursue the American Dream. I encourage everyone to take a moment today to look at the American flag and reflect on what it means to them.
