Hey everyone – Happy 4th of July!

The Fourth of July is one of my absolute favorite holidays. It's all about family gatherings, sizzling barbecues, and the sparkle of fireworks lighting up the night sky. It’s also a time to pause and appreciate our democracy and our collective duty to protect it.

While we have plenty to celebrate, recent challenges remind me of our ongoing fight: the constant attacks on reproductive rights, the unrelenting issue of gun violence, and the Supreme Court’s rulings undermining the structure and integrity of our democracy and putting all Presidents above the law. These can cast a shadow over our achievements, but celebrating our values and freedoms with loved ones reinforces why this battle matters so much.

Let’s take this day to recharge, enjoy the festivities, and strengthen our commitment to our progressive ideals.
