Happy Independence Day! Today, we celebrate America’s independence and American democracy.
There is nothing more American than the idea that citizens choose our representatives in free and fair elections. 248 years after the Declaration of Independence was adopted, our democracy is at risk. Let us recommit to our founding vision —a government by and for the people — this July 4th.
