This Independence Day, I would like to take a moment to reflect on the significance of this day for our great nation. Today we celebrate not only our deep history but also the liberties that are afforded to us and that unite us as Americans.

Let this be a day when we commemorate the vision of our Founding Fathers, who created the lasting framework that laid out the freedoms we value every day, and let us be especially proud and grateful that we are Americans.
