Every Fourth of July we celebrate our nation’s birthday and our independence. This Fourth of July brings us a renewed determination to honor the courage of our Founders to declare independence from a King, demand Democracy over autocracy and launch our government of, by, and For The People.

This week, a rogue Supreme Court betrayed our Constitution to invent an imperial presidency that is counter to everything our Founders envisioned and declared on that fateful day of July 4th, 1776.

Our Founders knew that it takes strength to resist autocracy – and they had confidence in the strength of the American people to do so.

Today, it’s up to us to declare anew our independence from autocracy and to save our Democracy. We must show our strength as voters and as Americans to achieve a more perfect union.

I believe we can because we have you, our VIPs, our volunteers in politics and policy – who engage and defend our Democracy by fighting for our freedoms and insisting on the promise of “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness” for everyone in our country.
