Happy 4th of July, John!
On this day in 1776, our forefathers declared their intention to become an independent nation. Since then, Americans have been blessed to live with the values of freedom, democracy, and the pursuit of a better life.
We didn’t become a more perfect union overnight. Maintaining a democracy takes work, and we must choose every day to uphold the values we all hold dear.
So, as you enjoy your day with family and friends, I hope you reflect on what you can do to support democracy in this nation. Together, we can ensure America remains the great country we all know it can be.
