Happy Independence Day, John!

When our forefathers signed the Declaration of Independence in 1776, they declared the United States to be free, giving birth to the nation we live in today. Now, every 4th of July is a reminder of the rights we established as a country: freedom, democracy, and the pursuit of a better life.

Every day, as your congressman, I am proud to stand up for the rights we declared those many years ago. And while today is a celebration, I encourage you to reflect on the values we hold dear each and every day as Americans.

I hope you enjoy time with loved ones today, John.
