John, Happy Independence Day! I hope you can spend some time with family and friends today, celebrating our nation’s 248th birthday.
Shortly after signing the Declaration of Independence, Founding Father John Adams predicted that the occasion would “…be celebrated with pomp and parade, bonfires and illuminations from one end of this continent to the other.” |
I can only imagine how pleased he would be to be alive today, nearly 250 years later, to take in a small-town parade, enjoy a backyard BBQ, and watch a local fireworks display in honor of our nation’s founding.
Again, I’d like to wish you a wonderful Fourth of July. I hope you will join me in celebrating the land of the free and the home of the brave! -Mike Braun |
