John, there is no better place to celebrate Independence Day than our great Commonwealth.

It is days like today where I feel incredibly grateful to be governor of the place that not only is the home of Independence Hall, but also the birthplace of American democracy and freedom.

Today, I am thinking about all the freedoms we as Americans are so lucky to have: the freedom to marry the person you love. The freedom to pray to whoever you choose. The freedom to work a stable job and provide for your family. The freedom to make your voice heard and have your vote counted.

I hope you take this day to relax, spend some time with friends and family, and enjoy all the freedoms we are so fortunate to have. From my family to yours, happy Fourth of July!
