This July, there is no better time to rally behind something we should all be proud of: being an American.

I introduced a resolution calling on President Biden to designate July as “American Patriotism Month.” This resolution seeks to celebrate our nation and supports efforts to teach and display patriotism by highlighting heroic acts made by brave men and women throughout American history.

America is the land of the free because of the brave, and in Congress, I am fighting each day to uphold the values that this country was built on.

As family and friends across the country gather today, let us take the time to celebrate the independence and freedoms we are blessed to enjoy each day as American citizens.
