In 2022, a shooter used an assault weapon and large-capacity magazines to kill seven people, wound dozens of others, and traumatize thousands during a July 4th parade in Highland Park, IL.
Two years later, the horror of that day still sits with us. Because the harrowing reality is that we are ALL Highland Park — including you, John.
All of us must face the deadly impact and psychological grip of gun violence in the United States. And whether we are marching in a parade, in class at school, shopping at the grocery store, or simply walking down the street, we are all at risk of becoming victims of gun violence.
That's why ALL of us must demand change.
We're calling on our lawmakers — those who have sworn to defend our welfare and liberty — to protect our freedom from gun violence and the fear and trauma it instills. Add your voice to call on Congress to pass a ban on assault weapons NOW.

The 4th of July is supposed to be a time to celebrate the things that make America special — freedom and democracy. But events like the Highland Park shooting remind us that America is different from other countries because no other country has to endure this cycle of senseless, endless violence.
It doesn't have to be this way. The majority of Americans want an assault weapons ban, and the only thing standing between us and a country free from gun violence is the gun lobby and the corrupt politicians in their pocket.
Brady is fighting every day to elect gun safety champions, undermine the NRA's influence, and advocate for the reforms that families need. So please, as we remember the victims of Highland Park and their families — will you respond to this live survey to demand that Congress finally pass an assault weapons ban?
