Happy Independence Day to everyone in the 12th District!
Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. These words in our nation's Declaration of Independence were never meant to be taken for granted.
We have a responsibility as citizens of this great nation to do all that we can to protect our freedoms, and ensure that our democracy remains in tact for future generations.
This Fourth of July, I encourage everyone to reflect on what it means to have the rights and privileges that we enjoy today and recommit ourselves to being active citizens.
May this day be a symbol of peace, prosperity, and happiness in your lives.
