Hello, Friends —

Happy Independence Day! As we celebrate the birth of our great nation, let us honor the vision of our Founding Fathers and the enduring principles of the Constitution. Let us honor what once made us great and devote ourselves to what will make us great once more.

Every day, our country retreats further and further toward the precipice. But do not be discouraged: decline is a choice — our future has yet to be written, and it is ours to write. On this Independence Day, let us renew our commitment to this nation and its people; let us vow that we will preserve our liberty for future generations. Happy Fourth of July and God bless America!

TEAM GAETZ RETURNS MORE THAN $15 MILLION TO NORTHWEST FLORIDA CONSTITUENTS

Image

The wins keep adding up! As of July, my office has returned more than $15 MILLION to Northwest Floridians and resolved more than 1,200 cases with issues involving federal agencies, such as the IRS, VA, USCIS, passports, and SBA.

In the month of June alone, my constituents recovered $5 million! I look forward to continuing this work and doing whatever I can to assist the great people of Northwest Florida.

REP. GAETZ ATTENDS AFSOC CHANGE-OF-COMMAND

Image

I was honored to attend the change-of-command ceremony at the Air Force Special Operations Command between Lieutenant Generals Tony Bauernfeind and Michael Conley on Tuesday morning. I am always proud to be a part of this great tradition, but it is bittersweet when someone like Lt. Gen. Bauernfeind, who has worked tirelessly to take care of the airmen assigned to AFSOC, is departing.

Lt. Gen. Bauernfeind has diligently worked with me and my team on addressing the housing and transportation challenges inherent in our area and we wish him well as he becomes the Superintendent of the United States Air Force Academy. He is well aware of the challenges facing his command, and I am confident he will do an outstanding job! The link between our bases and our communities has never been stronger and we are committed to keeping it that way.

REP. GAETZ ATTENDS CELEBRATION IN HONOR OF DR. DEVIN STEPHENSON

Image

On Tuesday, I attended the farewell celebration for Dr. Devin Stephenson’s departure from Northwest Florida State College as he leaves to become the head of Florida Polytechnic University. During his time at Northwest Florida State College, Dr. Stephenson began an aviation institute that has become a center of excellence. He has revolutionized the way our State colleges administer nursing education with some of the best technology in that field in the world, all while the dual enrollment charter school at Northwest Florida State College has maintained its position as number one in Florida.

He has done so many things for thousands of people. We will miss him greatly as he heads on to his new pursuits, and we wish him well at Florida Polytechnic University.

REP. GAETZ ATTENDS BRIGADIER GENERAL GERAGHTY CHANGE-OF-COMMAND CEREMONY

Image

On Wednesday, my team and I attended Brigadier General Geraghty’s change-of-command ceremony at Eglin Airforce Base. It has been an honor to have him as the Commander of the 96th Test Wing.

Brigadier General Geraghty has changed the culture of the relationship between the base and the surrounding communities. His commitment to improving these relationships included expansion of the child development centers, and willingness to be a partner in improving infrastructure and housing, among many accomplishments. For that, and many other reasons, we will always remember him as a wonderful asset and teammate.

Florida Rep. Gaetz Demands Answers On Targeting Of Judge Cannon In Trump Classified Docs Case

“Rep. Matt Gaetz (FL-01) has taken a strong stance by sending an oversight request to Cecilia Altonaga, the Chief Judge of the Federal District Court for the Southern District of Florida. This request comes in response to a report published by the New York Times, which suggests that two judges, including Chief Judge Altonaga, may have exerted undue political pressure on Judge Aileen Cannon, who is presiding over the high-profile case involving former President Donald Trump’s classified documents.”
