The June 18 primary was certified by the State Board of Elections on Tuesday, and now we move into the recount battle, where we have a greater opportunity to drill down and verify the accuracy of the results.

Thousands of you have encouraged me to pursue every legal avenue to ensure the accuracy of this election, and hundreds of you have donated to this effort. The next step is for our legal team to petition the Chief Judge in Goochland for a recount, who will also set the date and the parameters for the count.

We will need to hire a legal team for all counting locations, pay for the required Election officials, and cover the cost of the machines. With your help, we have raised $50,000 for the recount over the past two weeks, but we need to raise an additional $25,000 in the coming days to ensure that YOUR VOTE, and every legal vote, is accurately counted. It should be the desire of everyone to ensure that voters in our district are confident of the Primary results as we move into the November General Election.

Unfortunately, we have identified many troubling issues with mail-in ballots and drop boxes. We will do everything we can to address these issues, and we will continue the ongoing fight to ensure we have legal and transparent elections. I joined that fight immediately following the 2020 election, and I have been battling ever since to require proof of citizenship, mandatory voter ID, and to end ballot harvesting, drop boxes anywhere except polling places, and extended “election season.”
