Public Safety Officer Medal of Valor Nomination Tips

Nominations for the 2023-2024 Public Safety Officer Medal of Valor are due on Wednesday, July 31, by 5:00 p.m. ET. Agency heads should use the following guidance while writing and submitting nominations to ensure all required information is included: 

  • Nominations may list witnesses with personal knowledge of the event. 
  • Nominations are submitted through the online nomination system.  

Submitting a nomination is a simple and meaningful way to recognize the dedication of your staff to public safety.
