Happy 4th of July! Before Mike and I head to the Amherst and Merrimack parades, I wanted to send you a quick message.

As we celebrate our nation’s independence today, we need to remember that today isn’t about fireworks and parades — it’s about the fundamental freedoms that define us as Americans.

One of those freedoms is the right to make personal health decisions without government interference.

And right now, reproductive health care is under attack. States across the country are banning abortion and restricting access to life-saving care. Here in New Hampshire, Republicans have even proposed a 15-day abortion ban!

That’s why this race is so important, John. If my extreme MAGA opponent wins, reproductive rights and our personal freedoms will be at risk.

As Governor of New Hampshire, I will always fight to defend reproductive healthcare. I stood up for Planned Parenthood while Mayor of Manchester, and I’m the only candidate in this race with a plan to protect abortion rights.
