Hi John,

Today, Americans across the country will gather in shared community and embrace those we hold dear. As we gather around the grills, swimming pools, and fireworks, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on what Independence Day means for us all.

The truth is that too many have yet to see the equality and justice that the 4th of July represents. MAGA Republicans are doing everything in their power to strip away our rights, stall progress, and take our nation backward. We can’t and won’t let that happen. With you by our side, Democrats are committed to fighting to continue creating progress.

I hope we all take today to reflect on not only our independence but that of every American, no matter their background, color, or creed. We have a major fight ahead of us this November, but together, I know we can create the equality and justice we need for all.
