In the legendary Serengeti, almost a quarter of the elephants live in a
tiny area protected by a team of just 4 specially-trained rescue dogs and
their handlers.
They sniff out poachers and sound the alarm – the dogs have helped put
hundreds of poachers out of business already, saving countless elephants
being murdered for ivory. But outside the Serengeti, poaching is on the
rise and there are thousands more elephants and rhinos that still need
protection.
That’s why the team behind this amazing project is asking for your help to
train more dogs and double the number of sites where these sniffer dogs
are working – and save double the number of elephants and rhinos.

If just a handful of dogs protect all those elephants in the Serengeti,
imagine what 20 or 30 could do in Etosha National Park!
Poaching everywhere has skyrocketed in the past year, pushing endangered
elephants, rhinos, and other animals even closer to the brink. An influx
of support from people around the world could help get this anti-poaching
gamechanger the recognition it deserves, finally helping solve our
poaching crisis.
It could also help governments justify funding programs just like this in
parks all across Africa. And our community can be right there, advocating
for it at every turn.

It’s just an accident that our community found the amazing people behind
the Working Dogs for Conservation. But once one of our members let us know
the program existed, no one could stop thinking about it. This is our
