Chair's Corner
Aloha Hawaiian Republicans,
As we gather to celebrate Independence Day, it's essential to reflect on the significance of July 4th. This day marks the birth of our nation and the beginning of our fight for freedom and independence. The sacrifices made by our forefathers to secure our liberties and the principles of a republican form of government* continue to inspire us today. *(see Article 6 paragraph 2 of the united States Constitution).
A lot has happened over the last few days, from the heated debate between President Trump and President Biden to the postponement of President Trump's sentencing. Amidst all this, we are excited to share that President Trump will be at the Republican National Convention this month.
We look forward to attending and connecting with fellow Republicans from across the country. Our delegation is gearing up for the trip, and myself and the two other Republican National Committee representatives are eager to host our guests at what promises to be a worthwhile event. Congratulations to our auction winners, Jolanda, Andy, and Lynn, who are excited to experience Milwaukee and all that the convention has to offer.
We are also thrilled to announce that we have completed the 3rd level of the GROW program, called the Chairman's Circle. This is a first for the Hawaii Republican Party, and it wouldn't have been possible without everyone's hard work. The tasks were challenging, but the reward of receiving a significant financial boost was worth it. Mahalo to everyone on the team who contributed to this great accomplishment. It’s amazing what we can achieve when we work together.
We recognize that nothing is perfect, and we hope to overcome our internal challenges with the effort of all involved. We know who has the best interest of the people and the party, those who seek peace, work for unity and inclusion, dedicate themselves to the cause, and promote grassroots and election integrity. It's crucial to remove the efforts of those who continue to attack or prevent others from participating in important events, and those who are self-serving or promoting entities outside of the Republican Party.
We are starting to see the exposure of individuals who do not have good intentions for the party and the people. We can rise if we stand strong and stand together as patriots for the good of our state and country. While some may shy away due to infighting, it's important to understand that this infighting happens because obstructionists are fighting against those who stand firm for what is right. We need more brave patriots to join us and stand against those who do not have the best interests of the party and the people at heart. Anything worth fighting for doesn't come easy. (see the video below).
As we commemorate the 4th of July, let us remember the enduring fight for independence and the values it represents. Let this be a reminder of our responsibility to uphold the principles of liberty, justice, and our republican form of government. Together, we can continue to build a better future for our state and our country.
Thank you for your continued support and dedication.
Mahalo and God bless,
Tamara McKay
