Hi there — I wanted to reach out to thank you for helping with our end-of-quarter fundraising goal. I’m feeling positive about our momentum going into these summer months.

Now that the 4th of July is here, my team and I are excited to march in both the Glenside and Skippack 4th of July parades tomorrow. If you’ve been with me for a while you’ll know that the Glenside parade, in particular, is the same one I loved attending every year growing up. It’s one of the nation’s oldest consecutive parades – the first being in 1904!

I’m honored to march in this parade and represent the communities I’ve called home my whole life — and getting to do it alongside the hard-working folks of PA-04 makes it even more special. If you’re in the area, come out and say hi to me and my team!

My favorite part of the parade has to be handing out the candy to the children along the route. Two years ago, we brought 100 pounds of candy, last year, we brought 120 pounds. My staff is poking fun at me, but this year we’re at 150 pounds — I’m still not convinced it’s enough, but we’ll find out!
