Crisis Response Plan Calls For Expanded Benefits For Pregnant Mothers To Ward Off Abortions ([link removed][UNIQID])
(Daily Caller) The Americans United for Life (AUL) crisis response plan, first provided to the Daily Caller News Foundation, proposes that Congress expand benefits for mothers and their children. The plan specifically proposes expanding benefits for mothers who are pregnant. In the case that the next stimulus bill includes a certain amount of money per child for families with children, a pregnant woman would also be allocated that money.

The refusal of abortion centers across the nation to temporarily close in response to the COVID-19 pandemic is just the latest example from a notorious record of shameful negligence towards those they tell us they’re helping.

(Breitbart) Catherine Glenn Foster, president & CEO of Americans United for Life (AUL), referred to the legislation as “horribly destructive,” and one that “will undermine the role of law to protect and guide. The most heartbreaking part of this travesty to me personally is its repeal of the lifesaving ultrasound requirement in Virginia. When I went in for my abortion, scared and only 19 years old, I was denied the option to see the ultrasound of my baby. I asked, but the abortion worker said no. Now women all over the commonwealth of Virginia will be denied that basic right as well. It would have changed the course of my life. Women deserve better."

(AUL) The current crisis is causing us to rethink our priorities. We are beginning to see our lives in the way in which a captain might pass over provisions prior to an around-the-world sailing trip. Each item in our lives is being carefully screened for utility and urgency, as compared to its cost in terms of space and weight. We are forced to ask ourselves, “What do we really need to live?”
