For the first time in over two decades, Michigan has an open U.S. Senate seat, and several candidates are running. Citizens for Traditional Values wanted to give our readers an opportunity to hear the candidates share their views on the issues we care deeply about. This is the first of several interviews with the candidates who responded, starting with former Congressman Mike Rogers. Mike Rogers – U.S. Senate Candidate – Bio


Born and raised in Michigan, Mike Rogers has dedicated his life to serving our country. After graduating from Adrian College, Mike served as an Officer in the U.S. Army before joining the FBI as a Special Agent tasked with tackling public corruption and human trafficking. Mike began his service in elected office as a State Senator representing his hometown before being elected to the U.S. House, where he served as Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee. Mike is running for the U.S. Senate to lower costs for families, secure our border, and Get America Back on Track.

Serving as a poll worker (A.K.A. election inspector) is a great way to make a difference for your fellow Michigan citizens. We need upstanding people like you to keep an eye on our elections and make sure everything gets processed correctly. The time commitment is minimal and these are paid positions. Run for Local School Board

Calling all Parents, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles—anyone who cares about our schools—YOU can still run for your local school board!


Filing deadline is Tuesday, July 23 by 4:00pm

Important Election Integrity Legislation Coming to U.S. House

The Safeguard American Eligibility (SAVE) act is coming to the U.S. House for a vote next week. It would uphold the integrity of our elections by requiring individuals who register to vote in a federal election to provide documentary proof of U.S. citizenship.


The bill has 104 co-sponsors, including Rep. Jack Bergman (R-1), Rep. Bill Huizenga (R-4), and Rep. John Moolenaar (R-2). To learn more, click here for a full article about the legislation.

CTV Hiring for Part-Time Role


We are looking to hire two Field Coordinators for our Pews to the Polls program that distributes educational Voter Guides to our network of churches throughout Michigan, informing citizens where candidates stand on key issues.


We are seeking to hire in the Battle Creek area and in Oakland County. This is a part-time (15-20hrs/wk) temporary position until the end of October.


Qualifications:

  • be willing and able to work with people
  • have a basic understanding of current issues and our political system
  • be willing to travel with access to reliable transportation
  • ability to organize and delegate
  • have ready access to computer and computer skills
  • have strong motivation towards accomplishing this task

               

Main Objectives:

  • increase the network of churches that will take CTV Voter Guides
  • make personal contact (aka meetings, phone calls, email)
  • with individuals, pastors and other church representatives
  • recruit ongoing volunteers to be church liaisons to their pastor
  • distribute voter guides to the churches before the election
  • act as liaison with CTV State Headquarters
