I’m very excited to announce to you our first major spending project of 2024. This week we launched ads across my home state of Maryland in support of Larry Hogan for Senate.
I’m giving you a FIRST LOOK at the ad. It is because of supporters like you that we can support common sense leaders like Larry.
Driving the Week:I wrote for the Daily Telegraph about the stunning results of Thursday's Presidential debate. While Trump took positions that would be seriously wrong if implemented as policy, Biden failed to defend his catastrophic record. The event left a queasy feeling that neither man is fit to be president at a time when the free world has rarely been in greater need of effective leadership.
I went on CNN to discuss the Supreme Court’s ruling on Trump’s presidential immunity case.
Critical Context: I have said since the beginning of this discussion that I don’t believe any of the acts by Trump mentioned in the case were official acts.
My Final Word: The court overstated the extent of immunity in this week’s ruling. The most critical aspect of this case is distinguishing between official acts and not official acts, and the court did not do this.
I traveled to South Korea to discuss the looming super axis between Moscow, Pyongyang, Beijing, and Tehran.
Critical Context:Major super powers across the East are seemingly teaming up and casting a shadow across international waters. Our allies, like Korea, need to know that we stand strong with them.
My Final Word:I believe the United States needs to show off our nuclear capabilities in the northern Pacific. We need to let North Korea know that we mean business. Unfortunately, I don’t think Joe Biden has the courage to show such force.
Last but not least, Happy Birthday America! 248 years ago this week, America gained our Independence. I am proud to be celebrating the freedom and democracy of our great nation.
