Friend, last month, we took a huge step forward to protect our New York children and teens.

New York enacted two new laws to protect children from the harmful effects of social media: the Stop Addictive Feeds Exploitation (SAFE) For Kids Act and the New York Child Data Protection Act.

I’ve been working with my partners in the New York legislature on these laws for over a year.

These two laws will keep powerful Big Tech giants in check, protecting children from their addictive algorithms and putting a stop to the monetization and commoditization of their personal data.

This major win puts us one step closer to a safer digital world for our children – but there’s still so much to be done. That’s why I’ve been working since day one to hold Big Tech giants accountable for the negative impact they've had on kids’ mental health.

I’m confident that we can put a stop to the threats posed by Big Tech, and I won’t rest until we do – but I need to know where you stand.
