Fulfillment Fund

July 2024 Newsletter

As we step into summer, Fulfillment Fund is excited to launch an array of initiatives to support students transitioning from high school to college. We are expanding our Financial Aid Office Hours to offer personalized assistance, ensuring students complete their FAFSA and fully understand their financial aid offers. This crucial support aims to reduce financial barriers and help students confidently embark on their higher education journeys. In addition, our comprehensive outreach strategy, which includes phone calls, mailings, flyers, social media, text messages, and emails, will keep students and families informed and engaged throughout the summer.

To combat the summer melt phenomenon, where students who have committed to college ultimately do not enroll in the fall, we have employed ten student interns who will provide peer-to-peer support and outreach. These interns, who have recently navigated their own college transition process, will help keep students on track and motivated. By creating a supportive community and maintaining open lines of communication, we aim to ensure that every student starts their college journey with confidence. We are dedicated to empowering our students and look forward to celebrating their successes as they enter this new chapter.

Camp Fulfillment Fund

We welcomed over 80 students when we turned Fulfillment Fund HQ into a Camp for our incoming college freshmen, showing them the ropes for what's ahead in our summer programming to help them prepare for their first day on campus! Attendees met fellow students in our program and peer mentors who they will likely see on campus to ensure they feel a sense of community and can access the support they need.
