The 2024 general election is tomorrow and by Friday we will know what lies ahead for National Parks.

This is a pivotal time for our Parks and the people and species which call them home. We know that our National Parks can do better for nature if they are better funded and have new powers to create the change needed for them to thrive. The next government could hold the key to their success, which is why we’ve analysed the manifestos from every political party in England and Wales with a sitting MP in the previous Parliament.

Will you keep National Parks in mind tomorrow?

OUR MANIFESTO CALLS
We want to see political parties, leaders and candidates recognise the importance of protected landscapes during the campaign and put forward a clear programme of action so National Parks can deliver for people, society and the planet in the next Parliament.

In the face of climate breakdown, a nature crisis, growing inequality and a hollowing out of local communities, National Parks can play a vital role in tackling some of the biggest challenges the UK faces.

CATCH UP ON THE HUSTINGS
We were pleased to be in the Lake District to join the hustings hosted by Friends of the Lake District. It was a great opportunity to hear from candidates on their vision for the Lake District National Park and hear their answers to questions from the public.

RESTORE NATURE NOW
A massive thank you to everyone who joined us and marched for National Parks through the heart of London. It was an incredible day and we were thrilled to part of the 80,000+ strong attendees and 400+ environmental groups who came together with one voice to share one message to the next government - restore nature now.
Don't forget to vote tomorrow!
