Folks, this week, the Supreme Court issued a dangerous ruling that undermines a fundamental tenet of our democracy: that no one is above the law.

Like many of you, I was dismayed to see the news — but we all must face the fact that this only raises the stakes this November. 

We must do everything we can to defeat Donald Trump and keep him away from the White House.

I’m ready to do my part here in Virginia. My campaign is building a massive grassroots voter outreach program to reach and turn out Democrats in every corner of the Commonwealth so I can hold onto my Senate seat and we can deliver VA’s 13 electoral votes for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. But with Donald Trump and the GOP personally determined to flip us red, I’m going to need your support. We already knew Trump was a threat to our democracy, but to give him absolute immunity for any official acts while President puts our future at grave risk. Just look at this New York Times headline from a few days ago:

These are some of the official acts he plans to take if re-elected — the actions of a dictator, just as he promised to be on day one of his presidency.

This is alarming, but there is still time to take action. Voters like us can save our democracy — and we must.
