ICYMI: Big Oil poured $61 million into overturning a crucial law (SB 1137) that was meant to protect Californians by prohibiting new oil and gas wells within 3,200 feet of homes, schools, hospitals, and other sensitive areas. That includes a massive disinformation campaign to trick voters into believing these essential protections were government overreach.

But thanks to the relentless efforts of Jane Fonda and the Campaign for a Safe and Healthy California, a coalition of frontline community climate activists, we prevailed! SB 1137 is now the law of the land in California.
