Dear Supporter, You're a key part of People For the American Way. Joining us means you believe in the core American values we share: Liberty ... Equality ... Democracy ... and constitutional principles like fair courts that provide access to justice for all Americans, not just the very powerful. We are an advocacy organization dedicated to exposing the extremism of the Far Right and defending the fundamental rights and liberties of all Americans. And as one of our newest supporters, your opinion truly matters to us. Will you take just a few minutes right now to answer a few simple questions for us? Because we're a membership organization, you are critical to our success. That makes your opinion important to us. We'll use your input to help shape our programs and our communications with you and other supporters. You can get started right now by answering the first question: 1. Which issue do you care most about? In the early 1980s, televangelists -- then the public face of the growing Religious Right -- started filling the airwaves with bigoted rhetoric that challenged the faith of anyone whose politics were not aligned with theirs. That was not what our country was supposed to be about ... that was not the American Way. I joined with the late Congresswoman Barbara Jordan of Texas, faith leaders and other concerned citizens to form People For the American Way Foundation, and three years later formed People For the American Way. What we started over 30 years ago is now one of the leading progressive organizations defending true American values ... and our community of supporters keeps getting bigger and stronger. I am so pleased to have you join our mission. To help us serve our membership and the progressive movement, we really want to hear from you. Will you take our quick survey? It's just a few questions. On behalf of the entire board and staff of People For the American Way, thank you for your activism and for being part of the family. Together, we can help make sure that America is the best it can be, and that the promises of Liberty, Equality, Democracy and Justice -- the American Way -- are realized by all. Thank you for your support and thoughtful response,
