We did it — we just scored a major victory in the courts!

We are all at risk if we vote in person during the coronavirus outbreak. A Texas district judge agreed and has signed an order saying all Texans can now request a mail-in ballot instead of risking their health at the polls. This is a big development for Texas Democrats — and the culmination of our advocacy and a timely lawsuit by the Texas Democratic Party. Every person deserves to vote in a safe and healthy way if we are going to have a free and fair election.

I am working hard to make sure the people in this district know about this important change — letting them know they need to apply for their ballots. But, that is going to take a lot of resources. This fight isn't over — Texas Republicans will surely appeal this ruling.

The Texas Attorney General issued a statement meant to intimidate Texans from voting by mail. That's all his words are — a threat. This ruling is now the law of the land and the GOP will just have to deal with it. Republicans can try all they want to keep people from voting but we are going to win this fight. Help us keep up the fight against the Texas GOP and their anti-voting agenda! [[link removed]]
