John,
Our strategy has always been focused on building pro-choice political power at the state and local level, because that is where the fight for our freedoms will be won or lost.
Now more than ever, it’s become clear that we must invest in down-ballot races. These candidates are not only on the frontlines of protecting our reproductive freedom and democracy, but investing in their campaigns will also boost voter turnout and benefit the entire ticket.
You can make a real difference in these races, which are often won or lost by just hundreds of votes. For every $6.11 given, we can register AND turn-out a pro-choice voter. Will you help get 3 new voters to the polls with a gift of $18.33?
Our candidates are true movers and shakers. Time and time again, in the most challenging moments of the past few years, they have refused to roll over, instead doubling down on their commitment to fighting for our rights.
Just weeks ago in Michigan, Vote Pro-Choice endorsed Judge Sima Patel blocked Michigan’s 24-hour waiting period requirement for abortions, alongside several other burdensome, politically-motivated restrictions that were hindering patients from access to care.
In Virginia, State Senator Jennifer Carroll Foy, one of our first endorsed candidates ever, spearheaded the effort to ratify the ERA in Virginia and pass the Reproductive Health Protection Act.
In Arizona, State Senator Eva Burch opposed the state’s abortion ban by openly stating that she would need to seek an abortion for an unviable pregnancy, compelling GOP legislators to confront the real-world consequences of their bans.
When it feels difficult to find a way forward, these state and local leaders are forging a path. But they cannot do it alone. Can you invest in this work today with a donation of $18.33?
We’re grateful for your support, today and every day.
Thank you,
Maris Nyhart
