It Starts With a MealTM…but it doesn’t end there. Timor-Leste has a serious level of hunger. Over 40% of the children in Timor-Leste suffer from stunting. Rise Against Hunger is working to change that, and you can help too! For as little as $1 a day, you can provide care and nutrition for a child for one month ([link removed] ) .

Stunting is a contributing risk factor to child mortality, according to the World Health Organization. Children with this condition fail to reach their physical and cognitive potential ([link removed] ) . To address this critical issue, Rise Against Hunger is working with our partner Salesian Missions to implement programs to provide proper nutrition which decreases malnutrition and improves academic performance.
