With Honor Action co-hosted a standing room-only event with Exiger and POLITICO Live last week that focused on securing America’s supply chain for our critical infrastructure with For Country Caucus Vice-Chair Rep. Mikie Sherrill and Rep. Jake Ellzey. With Honor Action and the bipartisan veterans we work with in Congress are shaping legislation to make our supply chain more resilient, especially in light of vulnerabilities with the CCP. Rep. Sherrill also serves on the Select Committee on the CCP, and Rep. Ellzey is a member of the Defense Appropriations Subcommittee.

Last month the NDAA passed the U.S. House and is now being worked on in the Senate. We work alongside six bipartisan veterans in the Senate and are focused on a number of critical items to pass in this year's NDAA that range from supply chain resilience to AI and cybersecurity provisions, democracy assistance abroad, support for Afghan and Ukrainian allies, improved mental healthcare, and a package of laws led by For Country Caucus founding leaders Rep. Chrissy Houlahan and Rep. Don Bacon to improve military quality of life and mitigate military food insecurity.

Finally, we wanted to share with you a superb article ([link removed]) highlighting Army veteran and former With Honor Advisory Board member, Maryland Governor Wes Moore. Wes continues to rise as an important and inspiring voice of our post 9-11 veteran generation on the national stage. We will be co-hosting an event with him in August, and participating in both national conventions later this summer.
