It is through the dedication of our passionate network of volunteers that the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention is able to raise awareness, offer education, fight for important legislation, and provide support to those affected by suicide across the country. Your tireless efforts, in communities nationwide, help us create a culture that’s smarter about mental health.

It’s National Volunteer Week, and aside from thanking you for all you do, we want to remind you, during this uncertain time, to encourage the same positive behaviors in yourself as you so often encourage in others: be mindful of your mental health, ask for support from others when you need it, and be sure to take a break and get enough rest!

We also want to have you help spread positive messages of hope and gratitude by using our brand-new, customizable Volunteer Appreciation graphics! Once you’ve chosen a graphic and crafted your message, share your finished piece on social media by tagging some other special volunteers, or even your local chapter. Be sure to tag @afspnational, so we can all join together in celebrating our wonderful volunteers!
